Dufferin Hi-Land Section of Bruce Trail

Image
The Dufferin Hi-Land Section highlights: This was the first section I have done in it's entirety in one day/session. It was also my longest run to date, 57.2Km. A local had offered to drive me from the Cemetary Parking in Lavender all the way to Km 0 in Mono. Amazing! 1 hour into the run it started to rain, and continued for 2 hours, then 2 hours off, then 2 hours on, and two hours off. I was soaked. Along with this being my longest distance, it's also my greatest elevation in one session along the BT (1,142M) I failed on my nutrition. Didn't have a good enough breakfast. Should've had a Bullet Proof coffee and some eggs and stayed in my regular routine. Instead I had Tim Hortons biscuit sausage crap w medium double double. Crap. During the run I didn't pack enough food either. I should've had more sugary snacks, bars, gels and electrolytes. All said and done this was my biggest failure this session. ...But, I finished Dufferin!
